Pigeon Breeders are playing at Casse Tête in a month!
More info:
June 15 & 16, 2013, at The Exploration Place in Prince George, British Columbia. Casse-Tête is a new festival of experimental music—improvisation, free jazz, avant-garde compositions, minimalism, post-rock, noise, and more. Featured performers come from around BC and Alberta along with the radical side of Prince George’s own fertile scene. A totally unique festival experience!

This happens next week. Highly recommended, as per usual, is the monthly Ramshackle Day Parade. This instalment will feature:
Zebra Pulse, who have officially become a quintet with the addition of drummer Sean Macintosh.
Lakes, who recently moved to Edmonton and blew minds at the March edition.
and David Finkleman and Robert Burkosky, who have been really giving it to us this year. They are both members of Edmonton’s glorious Energetic Action.

Music at 8pm

More noise music is taking over the CJSR top 30. This week the Ramshackle Day Parade compilation, 2012, is #3. Last week it debuted at #9.
“Veil” is our contribution to the album and its video will be online in the near future.
No Face #10, featuring:
Taiwan // Potier. // Zebra Pulse // Pigeon Breeders
8pm on March 17th at Pith Gallery, Calgary, AB
From the promoter:
It may be a faux pas on my part to have booked a show in Calgary absent any Calgarian artists, but when FOUR amazing and talented acts offer to pile into two cars and drive for three hours in the middle of March to play in exchange for beer and a floor to crash on, you just f#cking BOOK IT. Come and trip on what attendees of the Ramshackle Day Parade have been tripping on for months now. These people are good, and so is their sound. Get hip to it!
